CONFESSION FOR SALVATION!!!

 Confession is a very important part of the Christian life. Confession means admitting something. When we confess our sins, we acknowledge our mistakes and ask God for forgiveness. God forgives those who confess their sins.

Another very important confession is admitting our faith in Jesus as our savior. This confession is an act of faith. We cannot hide our faith. Confessing Jesus as savior in front of other people is a way of spreading the gospel.

Confession in the Bible

If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, he will be saved. For with the heart one believes to righteousness, and with the mouth one confesses to salvation.

Romans 10:9-10

So I acknowledged before you my sin

and I did not cover up my faults.

I said, "I will confess my transgressions,"

to the Lord,

and you forgave the guilt of my sin.

Psalm 32:5

If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

1 John 1:9

Who hides their sins

does not prosper,

but who confesses them and forsakes them

finds mercy.

Proverbs 28:13

Therefore, confess your sins to each other and pray for each other to be healed. The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective.

James 5:16

"Whoever therefore confesses me before men, him I will also confess before my Father who is in heaven. But whoever denies me before men, him I will also deny before my Father who is in heaven.

Matthew 10:32-33

Anyone who denies the Son does not have the Father either; whoever publicly confesses the Son also has the Father.

1 John 2:23

If anyone publicly confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God abides in him and he in God.

Psalms 51:1-7

You can recognize the Spirit of God in this way: Every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God; but every spirit that does not confess Jesus is not from God. This is the spirit of antichrist, which you have heard that he is coming, and now he is already in the world.

1 John 4:2-3

Those of Israelite descent had separated themselves from all foreigners. They rose from their seats, confessed their sins and the wickedness of their ancestors. They stayed where they were and read the Book of the Law of the Lord their God for three hours, and spent another three hours confessing their sins and worshiping the Lord their God.

Nehemiah 9:2-3

Thus came John, baptizing in the wilderness and preaching a baptism of repentance for the forgiveness of sins. To him came the whole region of Judea and all the people of Jerusalem. Confessing their sins, they were baptized by him in the river Jordan.

Mark 1:4-5

Because it is written:

"'By Myself I have sworn',

every knee will bow

and every tongue will confess

that I am God' ".

Romans 14:11

Therefore God exalted him

to the highest position

and gave him the name that is above every name, that at the name of Jesus

and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord,

to the glory of God the Father.
