Painful experiences lived in childhood open wounds that we carry with us into our adult lives, negatively influencing our relationships. You don't necessarily have to have a traumatic childhood to have a wounded child inside you.
Emotional wounds arise when our needs are not met in childhood, generating a series of negative consequences when not properly treated, such as emotional dependence, insecurity, fear of relating, difficulty in establishing bonds, compulsions, eating disorders, fears and phobias, anxiety disorder, depression, shame, shaken self-esteem, need to please everyone, difficulty saying no and setting limits.
Bad comments received, judgment, rejection, helplessness, abandonment left marks that influence their behavior to this day.
The emotional wound of a child who does not receive love and acceptance from his parents causes him to become an adult who seeks in others the love and acceptance he did not receive when he needed it.
The wound of rejection in childhood causes you to become an insecure adult and have issues with acceptance. This adult who was once rejected constantly has the feeling that his way of being will not please anyone. The emotional wound when the child is exposed to "ridiculousness" and feels humiliated with people pointing the finger, making fun of him and laughing at him, makes him become an adult who feels afraid and ashamed of exposing himself.
The wound of betrayal in childhood when they don't keep what they promise makes the child become a distrustful adult.
The wound of the child who had his feelings repressed with that good old "swallow the cry", makes him become an adult who hides what he feels.
The child who has been severely punished is afraid of making mistakes, demands a lot of himself, and finds it difficult to complete projects.
Do you see your inner child? It is fundamental to become aware of our pains so as not to be dragged by them. We are not slaves to what happened to us. We must go beyond our wounds and promote adaptive changes that work for us today.

Our words have a lot of power. By his word, God created everything that exists and his words always come true. The word of God is alive and full of power. Jesus is the Word of God.
Our words affect our lives and even have power over life and death! The mouth speaks what is in the heart. With our words we can condemn ourselves or confess Jesus as our savior. Therefore, we need to learn to be very careful with our words.
For the word of God is living and active, and sharper than any two-edged sword; it pierces even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow, and judges the thoughts and intentions of the heart.
Hebrews 4:12
The fruit of the mouth is filled
man's stomach;
the lip product satisfies you. The tongue has power over life
and about death;
those who like to use it
they will eat its fruit.
Proverbs 18:20-21
We all stumble in many ways. If anyone does not stumble in his speech, such a man is perfect, being also able to control his whole body.
James 3:2
When we put bits in the horses' mouths to make them obey us, we can control the whole animal. Also take ships as an example; although they are so large and driven by strong winds, they are steered by a very small rudder, as the pilot wishes. Similarly, the tongue is a small organ of the body, but it boasts great things. See how a great forest is set ablaze by a single spark. So too, the tongue is a fire; it is a world of iniquity. Placed between the members of our body, it defiles the whole person, sets the whole course of his life on fire, and is itself set on fire by hell. Every species of animals, birds, reptiles and sea creatures is tamed and has been tamed by the human species; the tongue, however, no one can tame. It is an uncontrollable evil, full of deadly poison.
James 3:3-8
Through the word of the Lord
the heavens were made,
and the heavenly bodies by the breath of his mouth.
Psalm 33:6
God said, "Let there be light," and there was light.
Genesis 1:3
By faith we understand that the universe was formed by the word of God, so that what is seen was not made out of what is visible.
Hebrews 11:3
For the Lord is the giver of wisdom;
from his mouth proceed
knowledge and discernment.
Proverbs 2:6
Jesus replied, "It is written: 'Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that proceeds from the mouth of God'".
Matthew 4:4
Breed of vipers, how can you who are evil say good things? For the mouth speaks what the heart is full of.
Matthew 12:34
But the things that come out of the mouth come from the heart, and these are what make a man unclean. For out of the heart come evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, sexual immoralities, thefts, false witness and slander.
Matthew 15:18-19
If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes to righteousness, and with the mouth one confesses to salvation.
Romans 10:9-10
But I say that on the day of judgment men will have to give an account for every idle word they have spoken. For by your words you will be acquitted, and by your words you will be condemned."
Matthew 12:36-37
The mouth of the righteous is a fountain of life,
but the mouth of the wicked harbors violence.
Proverbs 10:11
Who of you wants to love life
and want to see happy days? Guard your tongue from evil
and their lips from falsehood.

There are words that hurt like a sword,
but the tongue of the wise brings healing.
Proverbs 12:18
An anxious heart depresses a man,
but a kind word cheers him up.

The calm answer deflects the fury,
but a harsh word stirs up anger.

Your word is a lamp
that lights up my steps
and light that clears my path.
Psalm 119:105
Truth is the essence of your word,
and all your righteous ordinances are eternal.
Psalm 119:160
In the beginning was he who is the Word. He was with God and was God.
