THE REALITY OF HELL...

 

Hell is the place of punishment for all who sin and rebel against God.  Hell is not the devil's domain - hell is the place where the devil will be punished! Hell is also known as the lake of fire.

Does hell really exist?

Yes, hell does exist. Jesus spoke more often about hell than about heaven. It's not a metaphor. That's why it's so important to believe in Jesus. The just punishment for sin is to go to hell, a place completely separated from God, who is the source of all that is good. Separated from God, all that remains is suffering.

Only Jesus can save from hell. He took the punishment of sin on the cross to save everyone who believes in him from hell. Instead of going to hell, the saved will live forever with Jesus in Heaven!

The Devil, who deceived them, was thrown into the lake of fire burning with brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet had already been thrown. They will be tormented day and night, forever and ever.

Revelation 20:10

The sea gave up the dead that were in it, and death and Hades gave up the dead that were in them; and each one was judged according to what he had done. Then death and Hades were cast into the lake of fire. The lake of fire is the second death. Those whose names were not found in the book of life were cast into the lake of fire.

Revelation 20:13-15

"Then he will say to those on his left, 'Cursed ones, depart from me into the eternal fire prepared for the Devil and his angels.

Matthew 25:41

They will suffer the penalty of eternal destruction, separation from the presence of the Lord and the majesty of his power.

2 Thessalonians 1:9

But the cowardly, the unbelieving, the depraved, the murderers, the sexually immoral, those who practice witchcraft, the idolaters and all liars - their place will be in the lake of fire that burns with sulfur. This is the second death."

Revelation 21:8

But I say to you that whoever is angry with his brother will be subject to judgment. Also, whoever says to his brother: 'Racá', will be taken to court. And anyone who says, 'Fool!' runs the risk of going to hell fire.

Matthew 5:22

Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather, be afraid of him who can destroy both soul and body in hell.

Matthew 10:28

For God did not spare the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, imprisoning them in dark pits to be reserved for judgment.

2 Peter 2:4

If his hand causes you to stumble, cut it off. It is better to enter life crippled than, having two hands, to go to hell, where the fire is never quenched, where their worm does not die, and the fire is not quenched. And if your foot causes you to stumble, cut it off. It is better to enter life crippled than, having two feet, to be thrown into hell, where their worm does not die and the fire is not quenched. And if your eye causes you to stumble, pluck it out. It is better to enter the kingdom of God with one eye than to have two eyes to be thrown into hell, where

"'your worm does not die,

and the fire does not go out'.

Mark 9:43-48

The Son of Man will send his angels, and they will bring out of his kingdom everything that leads to sin and all who do evil. They will throw them into the fiery furnace, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

Matthew 13:41-42
