LUKE 21: 25-28

The prophetic sermon continues: the return of the son of man
(Mt 24: 29-31 Mark 13: 24-27)
25 And there shall be signs in sun and moon and stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring.
26 men fainting from fear and the expectation of the things coming on the earth; for the powers of heaven shall be shaken.
27 And summer then see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory.
28 Now when these things begin to happen, look up and lift up your heads, because your redemption is near.

JOEL 2: 27-32

27 And ye shall know that I am in the midst of Israel, and that I am the Lord your God, and there is no other; and my people shall never be ashamed.
Promise of the outpouring of the Spirit
28 And let it be, then pour out my spirit upon all flesh, and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions.
29 And also upon the servants and upon the handmaids in those days will I pour out my Spirit.
30 And I will show wonders in the heavens and on earth, blood and fire and pillars of smoke.
31 The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and terrible day of the Lord.
32 And it shall be that whosoever shall call upon the name of Jehovah shall be saved; for in mount Zion and in Jerusalem shall be deliverance, as the LORD said, and in the remnant whom the LORD shall call.
