5 Do you not remember that these things were saying to you while I was yet with you?

6 And now ye know that which hinder him, that he may be made manifest in his own time.

7 For the mystery of lawlessness worketh; there is only one who now resists until the middle is taken away;

8 And then shall the wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall melt by the breath of his mouth, and he shall utterly destroy for the splendor of his coming;

9 To him whose coming is according to the efficacy of Satan, with all

10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness to them that perish, because they received not the love of the truth to be saved.

11 And therefore God will send them the work of error, that they may believe a lie;

12 So that all who did not believe the truth might be judged, but had pleasure in iniquity.

The beast that rose from the sea

5 And there was given a mouth to utter great things and blasphemies; and he was given power to act for forty-two months.

6 And he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme his name, and his tabernacle, and them that dwell in heaven.

7 And it was permitted for him to make war upon the saints, and to overthrow them; and power was given over all the tribe, and tongue, and nation.

8 And all that dwell on the earth worshiped her, whose names are not written in the book of the life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.

9 If any man have ears, let him hear.
