DO YOU KNOW WHY DO YOU NEED SALVATION?

4 verses that explain what salvation is

Salvation in Jesus is the main message of the gospel, but what does it mean? Do we need to be saved from what? Why is salvation so important? The Bible explains ...
1. Salvation from sin

I TIMOTHY 1:15 This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am chief.

The great problem of the world is sin. We all make mistakes and these mistakes ruin our lives. When we sin, we become slaves to sin. Jesus came to save us from our sins, erasing our past on the cross and giving us a new life, guided by God.

2. Salvation of conviction

John 5: 24 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not enter into condemnation, but is gone from death unto life.

Sin brings condemnation. We deserve to be punished for our mistakes but Jesus loves us so much that he took the punishment in our place! Jesus saves from the condemnation of sin.
3. Salvation from death

ROMANS 6:23 For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord

Death is the end result of sin. We all sin, so we're all going to die. But in Jesus, death is not the end! When we believe in Jesus, we receive the promise of resurrection and eternal life with Jesus.
4. Salvation by grace

Ephesians 2: 8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and this not of yourselves, it is the gift of God.
9 Not of works, lest any man should boast;

No one can deserve salvation. We can do many good things but they do not erase our sins. Only Jesus can save us. He died in our place and was resurrected to give us salvation, for free! All we can do is believe in Him and surrender our lives to Him. And Jesus saves us!
Have you given your life to Jesus and received salvation?
