STILL TIME TO MAKE NEW CHOICES ...

REPENTANCE:
THE LAST CHANCE BEFORE THE EXECUTION OF JUDGMENT

In the past God ignored this ignorance, but now commands everyone everywhere to repent. For he has established a day when he will judge the world with righteousness through the man whom he has appointed. And he gave evidence to all of them, raising him from the dead. "(JESUS CHRIST) Acts 17: 30-31

"Therefore, O nation of Israel, I will judge them, every one according to his ways." The word of the Lord, the Lord, repent, turn away from all your evils, lest sin cause you to fall And let them be free from all the evils that you have committed and seek a new heart and a new spirit, why should you die, O nation of Israel? Repent and live! Ezekiel 18: 30-32

But now I rejoice, not because you were grieved, but because your sorrow led you to repentance. For you have grieved as God willed and in no way have been harmed by our cause. Sadness according to God produces no remorse, but a repentance that leads to salvation, and sorrow according to the world produces death. 2 Corinthians 7: 9-10

The Lord is not slow to keep his promise, as some men think. On the contrary, he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but that all come to repentance. 2 Peter 3: 9

Says the Sovereign, the Lord, the Holy One of Israel:
"In repentance and at rest
Is your salvation,
In quietness and trust
Is its vigor,
But you did not want to. Isaiah 30:15

FOR YOU WHO HAD ACCOMPANIED THE NOVEL THE RICH AND THE LAZARUS IN THE RECORD, THE FLAT TROTS AS BACKGROUND THE CAPTIVITY OF ISRAEL AND JUDAH PROPHIZED YEARS BEFORE, BY THE PROPHET JEREMIAS, SENT BY GOD TO ALERT THE PEOPLE AND TO LEAVE THEM TO REPENTANCE . EVEN SENSED ALERTED, THEY REMAIN IN ERROR, IN IDOLATRY AND IN DISOBEDIENCE TO THE COMMANDMENTS OF GOD. THEIR FALL IS IMPENDING AND THE JUDGE JARS THE DOOR AND THE WAR IS INEVITABLE BEYOND MANY DEATHS. SO AS IN THE PAST, TODAY, THIS IS ALSO HAPPENING. IN OUR DAYS, CALL THE PEOPLE ARE CALLED TO REPENTANCE ...
James 1: 13 Let no man, being tempted, say, I am tempted of God: Because God can not be tempted by evil, and tempted no one.
14 But every man is tempted, when he is drawn and enticed by his own lusts.
15 And when sin hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin; And sin, being consummated, begets death.

JEREMIAH 19: 1-15

The broken bottle - The ruin of Jerusalem
1 Thus saith the LORD; Go, and buy a potter's vessel, and take with thee some of the elders of the people, and some of the elders of the priests;
2 And go forth into the valley of the son of Hinnom, which is at the entrance of the gate of the sun, and proclaim there the words that I speak unto thee;
3 And thou shalt say, Hear the word of the LORD, O kings of Judah, and inhabitants of Jerusalem. Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel, Behold, I will bring evil upon this place, and whosoever heareth it shall hearken unto her.
4 For they have forsaken me, and have alienated this place, and have burned incense to other gods, which they have not known, neither they nor their fathers, nor the kings of Judah; And filled this place with the blood of the innocent.
5 For they have built the high places of Baal, to burn their children in the fire for burnt offerings to Baal; Which I never commanded, nor spoke, nor came into my mind.
6 Therefore, behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that this place shall no more be called Tophet, nor the Valley of the Son of Hinnom, but the Valley of Slaughter.
7 For I will disperse the counsel of Judah and Jerusalem in this place, and cause them to fall by the sword before their enemies, and by the hand of them that seek their lives; And I will give their corpses for pasture to the birds of the air and the beasts of the earth.
8 And I will make this city an object of wonder and hissing; Every one that passeth by it shall be astonished, and shall hiss for all his plagues.
9 And I will cause them to eat the flesh of their children, and the flesh of their daughters, and they shall eat every man the flesh of his friend, in the siege and squeeze of their enemies and those who seek their lives.
10 And thou shalt break the bottle in the sight of the men that go with thee.
11 And thou shalt say unto them, Thus saith the LORD of hosts: Thus will I break this people, and this city, as the potter's vessel is broken, which can not be rebuilt, and bury them in Topheth, Because there will be no more place to bury them.
JEREMIAH 26: 1-15

Jeremiah predicts the ruin of the temple and of Jerusalem, and is in danger of death
1 At the beginning of the reign of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah king of Judah came this word of the LORD, saying,
2 Thus saith the LORD, Put thee into the court of the house of the LORD, and speak unto all the cities of Judah, which come to worship in the house of the LORD, all the words which I commanded thee to tell them; Do not skip a word.
3 It may well be that they hear, and turn every one from his evil way, and I repent of the evil that I attempt to do to them because of the evil of their doings.
4 And say unto them, Thus saith the LORD, If ye will not hearken unto me, that ye may walk in my law, which I have set before you,
5 That ye should hear the words of my servants the prophets, which I send unto you, rising early and sending, but ye have not heard;
6 And I will cause this house to be like Shiloh, and I will make this city a curse to all the nations of the earth.
7 And the priests, and the prophets, and all the people, heard Jeremiah speak these words in the house of the LORD.
8 And it came to pass, when Jeremiah had made an end of saying all that the LORD had commanded him to say to all the people, that the priests and the prophets and all the people took him, saying,
9 Why didst thou prophesy in the name of the LORD, saying, How shall this house be Shiloh, and this city shall be desolate, that no inhabitant dwell in it? And all the people gathered themselves together against Jeremiah in the house of the LORD.
10 And when the princes of Judah heard these words, they went up from the king's house to the house of the LORD, and sat down at the entrance of the new gate of the LORD.
11 Then the priests and the prophets spoke to the princes and to all the people, saying, This man is guilty of death, because he has prophesied against this city, as you have heard with your ears.
12 And Jeremiah spake unto all the princes and all the people, saying, The LORD hath sent me to prophesy against this house, and against this city, all the words which thou hast heard.
13 Now, therefore, make your ways and your doings better, and listen to the voice of the LORD your God, and the LORD will repent of the evil that he has spoken against you.
14 As for me, behold, I am in your hands; Do with me according to what is good and right in your eyes.
15 But be sure that if you kill me, you shall bring innocent blood upon you, and upon this city, and upon the inhabitants thereof; For the LORD has sent me to you, to speak in your ears all these words.

Repentance is to feel sad because of your sin and decide to change. Whoever repents rejects sin and acknowledges that he needs Jesus to be saved. True repentance comes from the conviction of sin by the Holy Spirit and leads you to change your life with the help of Jesus.
Repentance comes from the heart but is revealed in your life. The one who repents has a different attitude: he is humble and tries to do what is right to please God. Repentance is the essential condition for salvation and prevents judgment.

What the Bible says about repentance:

Repent, therefore, and turn to God, that your sins may be canceled,
Acts of the Apostles 3:19

Jesus answered them, "It is not those who are in health who need a physician, but the sick. I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance." Luke 5: 31-32

I say that, likewise, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God for a sinner who repents. "Luke 15:10

I say no! But if you do not repent, all of you will perish as well. Luke 13: 3

If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 1 John 1: 9

Have mercy on me, O God,
For your love;
For your great compassion
Blot out my transgressions. Wash me of all my guilt
And cleanse me from my sin. Because myself
I acknowledge my transgressions,
And my sin always pursues me. Against you, only against you, have I sinned
And I have done what you disapprove of,
So that's just your sentence
And you are right to condemn me. Psalms 51: 1-4

I first preached to those in Damascus, to those in Jerusalem and all Judea, and to the Gentiles, that they should repent and turn to God, doing works that would show their repentance. Acts 26:20

Bear fruit that shows repentance!
Matthew 3: 8

If my people, who are called by my name, humble themselves and pray, seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, I will hear from heaven, I will forgive their sin and heal their land. 2 Chronicles 7:14

"I rebuke and discipline those whom I love. Therefore be diligent and repent.
Revelation 3:19

He said, "Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand." Matthew 3: 2

"Time is coming," he said. "The kingdom of God is at hand, repent and believe in the good news!" Mark 1:15

Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you! Sinners, clean your hands, and you, who have a divided mind, purify the heart. James 4: 8

Peter replied, "Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost." Acts 2:38

Then I recognized my sin before you.
And I have not covered my faults.
I said, "I will confess my transgressions,"
to the Lord,
And you have forgiven the guilt of my sin.
Psalms 32: 5

Be careful.
"If your brother sins, rebuke him, and if he repents, forgive him. If he sins against you seven times a day, and seven times come back to you and say, 'I repent,' forgive him."
Luke 17: 3-4

AN ADVICE...

COME FROM PROSTITUTION
SHE HOLDS YOU WITH CHAINS AND YOU BLINK YOUR EYES. BEYOND, TO BRING DEEP SUFFERING, UNTIL DEATH ...
THAT'S WHAT WE LEARN ABOUT THE HISTORY OF SANSON ...

Prostitution is a misrepresentation of the intimate and special relationship that marriage must be. Prostitution spoils this relationship and gives value to the wrong things: lust instead of love, childishness instead of responsibility, abuse instead of affection ...
In the Bible prostitution also has a spiritual meaning. The infidelity of a prostitute is like the infidelity of one who forsakes God to worship idols. God wants to restore relationships and hearts, to be pure and faithful again.

ABRASAMENTO - In the Portuguese language, means to burn, to destroy, to heat a lot; Ignite, excite. In the biblical sense as sexual sin, it means inability to control sexual desire, vicious and obsessive thinking about sex.

LASCIVIA - Unruly and unruly behavior; In particular, a blatant disregard for sexual restraints. (Mark 7.22, 2Co 12.21). The Greek word translated "lasciviousness" means "outrageous conduct," demonstrating that lascivious or licentious behavior goes beyond sin and involves contempt for what is right. That is, lasciviousness is totally immoral thoughts or deeds.

ADULT - An intentional act of having sex with someone other than a husband or wife. Jesus expanded the meaning of adultery, including his lust: "Whosoever looketh on a woman of unclean intent in his heart hath committed adultery with her" (Mt 5:28).

PROSTITUTION - Act or practice of promiscuous sex, especially for money. Several words are used for the woman engaging in illicit sexual activity for money, including whore, bitch, and prostitute. One kind of harlot was the prostitute of the temple, who performed sexual acts in the pagan temple (Hos. 4:12, 14). Cults for both male and female prostitution were conducted in these temples. Whenever Judah was ruled by a just king, such a king sought to remove prostitutes from the temple of his land (2 Kings 23: 4-14).

FORNICATION - Sexual relationship outside the marital bond. The technical distinction between fornication and adultery is that it involves married persons while fornication involves at least one unmarried person. However, the New Testament often uses the term generically to refer to any kind of absence of chastity. Of the seven lists of sins in Paul's writings, the word "fornication" is found in five of them (Rom. 13: 13; 1 Corinthians 5:13; In the book of Apocalypse, fornication is a symbol of how idolatry and pagan religion corrupt true worship of God (Revelation 14: 8, 17: 4)

Very well, when a person is ABRASED, it means that he / she is with the obsessive thought, turned towards the sexual act, when this type of thought leaves the criteria of the biblical sexual restrictions, turns into LASCÍA, the lust when it ceases to be only in thought And becomes practiced, generates the sins of ADULTERY, PROSTITUTION, FORNICATION, and many others.

Flee from sexual immorality. All the other sins committed by a person outside the body commit them; But he who sins sexually sins against his own body. 1 Corinthians 6:18

Do you not know that your bodies are members of Christ? Will I take the members of Christ and join them to a prostitute? Not at all! Do you not know that he who joins a prostitute is a body with her? For as it is written, "They shall be one flesh." But he who joins the Lord is a spirit with him. 1 Corinthians 6: 15-17

It is God's will that you be sanctified: abstain from sexual immorality. 1 Thessalonians 4: 3
"Let no man dishonor his daughter, making her a harlot: otherwise the land shall be fornication, and it shall be full of perverseness." Leviticus 19:29

Marriage must be honored by all; The conjugal bed, preserved pure; For God will judge the immoral and the adulterers.

"Their actions do not allow them
Return to your God.
A spirit of prostitution
It is in their heart;
They do not recognize the Lord. Hosea 5: 4

Now the works of the flesh are manifest: sexual immorality, impurity, and debauchery; Idolatry and witchcraft; Hatred, discord, jealousy, anger, selfishness, dissensions, factions and envy; Drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I warned you before: Those who practice these things will not inherit the Kingdom of God. Galatians 5: 19-21

"No Israelite, male or female, may become a prostitute of worship. Do not bring to the sanctuary of the Lord your God the gains of a prostitute or a prostitute to pay any vow, for the Lord your God , By both has disgust.
Deuteronomy 23: 17-18

The man who loves wisdom
Gives joy to his father,
But whoever walks with prostitutes
Ends his fortune. Proverbs 29: 3

My son, give me your heart;
Keep your eyes
In my ways, for the prostitute is a deep pit,
And the perverted woman is a narrow well. Proverbs 23: 26-27

Do not covet your beauty in your heart nor be seduced by their looks, for the price of a prostitute
Is a piece of bread,
But the adulteress goes out hunting
Of precious lives. Proverbs 6: 25-26

Let us conduct ourselves decently, as one acts in the light of day, not in orgies and drunkenness, not in sexual immorality and depravity, not in quarreling and envy. Romans 13:13

"Which one did the will of the father?"
"The first," they replied.
Jesus said to them, "I tell you the truth, publicans and prostitutes are entering before you into the Kingdom of God, because John came to show the way of righteousness, and you did not believe in him, but the publicans and the prostitutes believed, Even after seeing this, you did not repent nor believe in it.
Matthew 21: 31-32

Soon after Gideon died, the Israelites returned to prostitution with the Baalim, worshiping them. And they set up Baal-berith as their god, and they remembered not the LORD their God, which had delivered them out of the hand of their enemies round about. Judges 8: 33-34

Do not rejoice, O Israel;
Do not be glad
Like other nations.
For you have committed fornication,
Forsaking his God;
Do you love the wages of prostitution?
In each threshing floor of wheat. Hosea 9: 1

See how the faithful city
Became a prostitute!
Before full of justice
And inhabited by righteousness,
It's full of murderers now!
Isaiah 1:21

Now therefore let them turn away their prostitution and the lifeless idols of their kings, and I will live among them forever. Ezekiel 43: 9

THE DANGER OF WRAPPING IN PHYSICAL OR SPIRITUAL PROSTITUTION.

JUDGES 16: 1,4-22
Sansão is brought by Dalila
1 And Samson went to Gaza, and saw there a prostitute woman, and went in unto her.
4 And it came to pass after this, that he was fond of a woman of the valley of Sorek, whose name was Delilah.
5 And the princes of the Philistines came up to her, and said to him, Persuade him, and see what his great strength is, and how we might lay hold upon him and bind him, that we might afflict him; And we will give you each one of us a thousand and a hundred pieces of silver.
6 And Delilah said unto Samson, Tell me, I pray thee, what is thy great strength, and that thou mightest be bound, that they might afflict thee.
7 And Samson said to him, If they had bound me with seven yards of fresh willows, which were not yet dried up, then I would be weak, and like any other man.
8 And the princes of the Philistines brought unto him seven yards of fresh vim, which were not yet dried up; And bound him with them.
9 And the spy was with her in the inner chamber. And she said unto him, The Philistines come upon thee, Samson. Then he broke the bars of wicker, as the thread of the tow is broken by the smell of the fire; So it was not known what their strength consisted of.
10 And Delilah said to Samson, Behold, thou hast mocked me, and told me lies; Now declare to me that thou mightest be bound.
11 And he said, If they would bind me tightly with new ropes, which had not yet been used, then I would be weakened, and be like any other man.
12 And Delilah took new ropes, and bound him with them, and said unto him, The Philistines are upon thee, Samson. And the spy was in the inner chamber. Then he broke them from his arms like a thread.
13 And Delilah said to Samson, You have mocked me until now, and told me lies; Tell me, now, how could you be bound? And he said unto him, If thou wove seven braids of the hair of my head with the tuft of the web.
14 And she fixed them with a stake, and said to him, "The Philistines are coming upon you, Samson." Then he awoke from his sleep, and plucked the stake from the woven braids, along with the spear of the web.
15 And she said unto him, How shall you say, I have love, when thine heart is not with me? Thou hast mocked me three times, and hast not declared unto me the substance of thy strength.
16 And it came to pass, when she troubled him every day with his words, and bothered him, and his soul was distressed unto death.
17 And he discovered all his heart, and said unto him, The razor has not gone through my head, because I am a Nazirite to God from my mother's womb; If I were to be shaved, my strength would go away from me, and I would weaken, and be like any other man.
18 And when Delilah saw that she had told him all her heart, she sent and called for the princes of the Philistines, saying, Go up this time, for he has revealed to me all his heart. And the princes of the Philistines came up to her, and brought the money with them.
19 And she made him sleep on her knees, and she called for a man, and shaved off the seven braids of the hair of her head; And he began to afflict him, and his strength departed from him.
20 And she said, The Philistines are upon thee, Samson. And he roused him out of his sleep, and said, I will go out again this time as before, and will shake myself. For he did not know that the Lord had withdrawn from him.
21 And the Philistines took hold of him, and plucked out his eyes, and caused him to go down to Gaza, and bound him with two chains of brass, and he turned a mill into the prison.
22 And the hair of his head began to grow, as when he was shaved.

WHO IS YOUR IDOL?

God hates idols. Whoever loves an idol loves a lie, something that is not a god nor deserves worship.
Our idols may be false gods or images but they can also be money, fame, our arrogance ... Everything that receives our worship and draws us away from God is an idol.
We should only worship God. No idol can save us. All idols fail but God never fails. He has all power and loves us.

Idols in the Bible

"Do not turn to idols or make metal gods to you. I am the Lord, your God.
Leviticus 19: 4

"I am the Lord: this is my name!
I will not give my glory to another.
Nor to pictures my praise.
Isaiah 42: 8

"Thou shalt have no other gods besides me." Thou shalt not make for thee any idol, no image of anything in heaven, on earth, or in waters under the earth.
Exodus 20: 3-4

So what do I mean? Is the sacrifice offered to an idol anything? Or is the idol something? No! I mean that what the heathen sacrifices is offered to the demons and not to God, and I do not want you to have fellowship with the demons.
1 Corinthians 10: 19-20

Therefore, my beloved brethren, flee from idolatry.
1 Corinthians 10:14

Their idols, silver and gold,
Are made by human hands. They have a mouth, but they can not speak;
Eyes, but can not see; They have ears, but they can not hear;

Feet, but they can not walk;
And make no sound with the throat. Become like them those who make them

"Gather together and come together,
You fugitives from the nations.
Those who lead are ignorant

Some of the authorities of Israel came and sat before me. Then the Lord said to me, "Son of man, these men have erected idols in their hearts and put ungodly stumbling blocks in front of you. Shall I let them consult me?" Say to them, "This is what the Sovereign LORD says: Israel shall lift up idols in his heart and put a stumbling stumbling in his face, and afterward he shall consult a prophet, and I the LORD will answer him after his idolatry: this will I do to win back the heart of the nation of Israel; He forsook them in exchange for their idols. "Therefore say to the nation of Israel, Thus saith the Sovereign LORD: Repent! Turn away from your idols and renounce all detestable practices! "When any Israelite or any alien residing in Israel separates from me, erects idols in his heart and puts a wicked stumble in front of him and then goes to a prophet to consult me, I, the Lord, myself, will respond to him I will turn my face against that man, and make him an example and an object of derision: I will cut him off from among my people: and ye shall know that I am the Lord. "And if the prophet is deceived, and I, the Lord, will have deceived that prophet and will stretch out my arm against him, and will destroy him, taking him out of the midst of Israel my people.

MAKE YOUR CHOICE. DO NOT LEAVE THEN ...

HOW CHOICES WILL INFLUENCE YOUR WAY ...

 Idolatry is a great danger. It leads us to worship other things that are not God. Only God deserves our worship. Nothing is more important than loving God above all things.
Idolatry is not just worshiping other gods or lifeless images. Idolatry is putting anything above God in our life. We can idolize a person, a job, a political party, money ... To avoid idolatry, we must always put God first, in everything we do.

Idolatry

Female noun
1.
Cult that lends itself to idols.
2. 2.
Fig. Excessive love, exaggerated admiration.

The folly of idolatry
Isaiah 42: 8 "I am the Lord, this is my name!
I will not give my glory to another, nor my praise to images.

Isaiah 43:11 I, even I, am the LORD: and besides me there is no savior.
Isaiah 44: 06-19

06 Thus saith the LORD, the king of Israel, his redeemer, the LORD of hosts; (...) I am the first and I am the last; Besides me there is no God.

08 ... Is there another God besides me?
No, there is no other Rock; I do not know any

10 Who is it that moldeth a god and smelt an image, which is of no use to him?
12 The blacksmith picks up a tool and works with it on the coals;
He molds an idol with hammers, he forges it with the strength of his arm.
15 ... but he also models a god and worships him; Makes an image and bows before it.
16 Half the wood he burns with fire; On her prepare her meal, roast the meat
