DECEITFUL HEART

 

Jeremiah 17:5

This is what the LORD says: "Cursed is the man who trusts in man and makes flesh his strength and whose heart departs from the LORD!"

Jeremiah 17:9-10

The heart is more deceitful than anything else, and its sickness is incurable. Who can understand it? "I, the LORD, search the heart and examine the mind, to give each person according to his ways, according to what his deeds deserve." John 8:44

44"You belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out his desires. He was a murderer from the beginning and does not hold to the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his own language, for he is a liar and the father of lies.

Ephesians 6:11-18

Put on the full armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Therefore take up the full armor of God, that you may be able to resist in the evil day, and having done everything, to stand. Stand therefore, having your waist girded with truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness. And having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace, and always taking up the shield of faith, with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the evil one. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God; praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and to this end being alert with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints.
