¹² Now if it is preached that Christ rose from the dead, how come some among you say that there is no resurrection of the dead?

¹³ And if there is no resurrection of the dead, neither has Christ been resurrected.

¹⁴ And if Christ has not been resurrected, then our preaching is in vain, and your faith is also in vain.

¹⁵ And so we are also considered as false witnesses of God, because we testify of God, who raised Christ, but whom he did not raise, if, in truth, the dead do not rise.

¹⁶ For if the dead are not raised, neither has Christ been raised.

¹⁷ And if Christ has not been raised, your faith is vain, and you still remain in your sins.

¹⁸ And also those who have fallen asleep in Christ are lost.

¹⁹ If we hope in Christ only in this life, we are of all men most miserable.

²⁰ But indeed Christ was raised from the dead, and became the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep.

²¹ For just as death came through a man, so also the resurrection of the dead came through a man.

²² For as all die in Adam, so all will be made alive in Christ.

²³ But each one in his order: Christ the firstfruits, then those who belong to Christ at his coming.

²⁴ Then the end will come, when he has handed over the kingdom to God, to the Father, and when he has annihilated the entire empire, and all power and strength.

²⁵ For he must reign until he has put all his enemies under his feet.

²⁶ Now, the last enemy that will be annihilated is death.

²⁷ For he put all things under his feet. But when he says that all things are subject to him, it is clear that he who subjected all things to him is excepted.

²⁸ And when all things are subject to him, then the Son himself will also subject himself to him who subjected all things to him, so that God may be all in all.

²⁹ Otherwise, what will those who are baptized for the dead do if the dead do not rise at all? Why then are they baptized for the dead?

³⁰ Why are we also in danger all the time?

³¹ I protest that I die every day, glorying in you, brothers, through Christ Jesus our Lord.
