The Bible condemns spiritism. We are not to consult spirits. The only person who can guide and help us is God, no one else. Those who consult spirits open themselves to the influence of demons, which are never good.
Disciples of Jesus have the right to expel spirits but it is important to avoid fascination. Spiritualism can offer power and satisfaction but in the end it brings many serious problems. God is more powerful than any spirit.
"Do not use mediums or seek those who consult spirits, for you will be contaminated by them. I am the Lord, your God.
Leviticus 19:31
“When you enter the land that the Lord your God is giving you, do not try to imitate the disgusting things that the nations there do. daughter; who practices divination, or practices magic, or uses omens, or practices sorcery, or performs enchantments; who is a medium, consults spirits, or consults the dead. abominations that the LORD your God will drive those nations out before you.
Deuteronomy 18:9-12
One day, as we were going to the place of prayer, we met a slave girl who had a spirit by which she foretold the future. She earned a lot of money for her masters with fortune telling. This girl followed Paul and us, crying out, "These men are servants of the Most High God, who proclaim the way of salvation." She continued to do this for many days. Finally, Paul became indignant, turned around and said to the spirit, "In the name of Jesus Christ I command you to come out of her!" At the same moment the spirit left her.
Acts of the Apostles 16:16-18
"I will set my face against anyone who consults spirits and against those who seek mediums to follow them, prostituting themselves with them. I will cut him off from among his people.
Leviticus 20:6
"The men or women among you who are mediums or consult spirits will have to be executed. They will be stoned, as they deserve death".
Leviticus 20:27
She even burned her own son in sacrifice, practiced sorcery and divination and resorted to mediums and to those who consulted the spirits. She did evil in the eyes of the Lord, provoking him to anger.
2 Kings 21:6
Furthermore, Josiah did away with the mediums, those who consulted spirits, the household idols, the other idols, and all the other disgusting things that were in Judah and Jerusalem. He did this to fulfill the requirements of the Law written in the book that Hilkiah the priest had discovered in the temple of the Lord. Neither before nor after Josiah was there a king like him, who turned to the Lord with all his heart, with all his soul and with all his strength, according to all the Law of Moses.
2 Kings 23:24-25
Saul died this way because he was unfaithful to the Lord, was not obedient to the word of the Lord, and even consulted a medium for guidance instead of consulting the Lord. Therefore the Lord put him to death and gave the kingdom to David, son of Jesse.
1 Chronicles 10:13-14
When they say to you, "Find a medium or someone who consults the spirits and mutters incantations, for everyone appeals to their gods and the dead on behalf of the living," answer, "To the law and the commandments!" If they don't speak according to this word, you will never see the light!
Isaiah 8:19-20
The Spirit clearly says that in later times some will abandon the faith and follow deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons.
