God abhors lying and therefore cannot stand the presence of liars. The enemy of God is described in the Bible as the "Father of Lies".

We also know that Jesus described himself as being the Truth (John 14:6). Christ teaches us that it is possible to be truly free through knowing the truth.

God's people are to be known as a people living in the truth and for the truth. Therefore, we must flee the lie and not condone the liars.

Therefore, each of you must put off falsehood and speak the truth to his neighbor, for we are all members of the same body.

Ephesians 4:25

"You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.

Exodus 20:16

Do not lie to one another, since you have put off the old man with its practices and put on the new man, which is being renewed in knowledge in the image of its Creator.

Colossians 3:9-10

The Lord hates lying lips,
