False prophets are people who preach what does not come from God. Their teachings are not biblical and they invent prophecies, dreams and visions. False prophets deceive others by turning them from God, and cause conflict and confusion.
How can we recognize a false prophet? Studying the Bible. If someone preaches something that goes against the Bible, he is a false prophet. It is also important to see if the prophecy is fulfilled. If it does not happen, it is because it came from the person's imagination, not from God.
We must avoid false prophets. His teachings only bring problems and can deceive even believers. Therefore, it is very important to know the Bible and have intimacy with God, to distinguish between right and wrong.

False Prophets in the Bible

In the past false prophets have appeared among the people, just as false teachers will arise among you. These will secretly introduce destructive heresies, even denying the Sovereign who rescued them, bringing upon themselves sudden destruction. Many will follow the shameful ways of these men and, because of them, the way of truth will be slandered. In their covetousness, such masters will exploit them with stories they have invented. His condemnation hath long been upon them, and their destruction shall not delay. 2 Peter 2: 1-3

Hold fast the faithful word, which is according to the doctrine, that it may be able both to admonish with sound doctrine, and to convince those who contradict. For there are many that are disorderly, speaking, vain, and deceitful, especially those of the circumcision, to whom it is fitting to cover the mouth; Men who upset entire houses by teaching what is not convenient, out of greedy greed. One of them, his own prophet, said: The Cretans are always liars, bad beasts, lazy belly. This testimony is true. Therefore rebuke them severely, that they may be sound in the faith. Titus 1: 9-13

But the prophet who dares to speak in my name something that I have not commanded him, or that speak on behalf of other gods, will have to be killed. ' "But perhaps you ask yourself, 'How will we know if a message does not come from the Lord?' If what the prophet proclaims in the name of the Lord does not happen or be fulfilled, this message does not come from the Lord. That prophet spoke with presumption.don't be afraid of him.
Deuteronomy 18: 20-22

"Watch out for the false prophets, they come to you clothed in sheep's clothing, but inside they are devouring wolves, you will recognize them by their fruits." Can any one gather grapes from a thorn bush or figs from weeds? But the bad tree bears bad fruit: a good tree can not bear bad fruit, neither can a bad tree bear good fruit: every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is cut down, and cast into the fire. They will recognize!
Matthew 7: 15-20

Do not treat the prophecies with contempt, but put all things to the test and keep what is good.
1 Thessalonians 5: 20-21

I commend you, brethren, to watch out for those who cause divisions and obstruct the teaching you have received. Get away from them. For these people are not serving Christ our Lord, but their own appetites. By soft words and flattery, they deceive the heart of the naive. Romans 16: 17-18

If anyone teaches false doctrines and does not agree with the sound doctrine of our Lord Jesus Christ and with the teaching that is according to godliness, he is proud and understands nothing. This shows an unhealthy interest in controversies and contentions about words, which result in envy, quarrels, defamations, malignant suspicions and constant friction between those who have corrupted minds and who are deprived of truth, who think that piety is a source Of profit.
1 Timothy 6: 3-5

Beloved, do not believe in any spirit, but examine the spirits to see if they come from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world.
1 John 4: 1

For there will appear false Christs and false prophets who will perform signs and wonders to deceive the elect, if possible. So be aware: I warned you of everything in advance.
Mark 13: 22-23

Yes, I am against those who prophesy false dreams, "declares the Lord." They report them, and with their irresponsible lies they turn my people away. I did not send them or authorize them; And they bring no benefit to this people, "declares the Lord.
Jeremiah 23:32

"Therefore thus saith the Sovereign LORD, Because of his false words and his lying visions, I am against you: the word of the Lord, the Lord: My hand shall be against the prophets who have false visions, and make false divinations. Shall not be enrolled in the records of the nation of Israel, and shall not enter into the land of Israel: then shall ye know that I am the Lord, the Lord.
Ezequiel 1

3: 8-9 Thus saith the Lord: "To the prophets who cause my people to turn aside, and when they give them what to chew, they proclaim peace, but proclaim holy war against anyone who does not fill their mouths: For all this the night will come The sun shall set, and the day shall be darkened for the prophets: the astonished seers and the soothsayers, all shall cover the face, for there shall be no part of God. " Micah 3: 5-7But the beast was taken, and with it the false prophet who had performed the miraculous signs in her name, with whom he deceived those who received the mark of the beast and worshiped the image of it. The two were cast alive into the lake of fire that burns with sulfur. Revelation 19:20
