WHY CHRISTIANS SHOULD DISAPPROVE OF TATTOOS.
About 30 years ago, those who had tattoos were jailbirds, criminals, rockers or something more extravagant...
Today, everyone has tattoos: fathers, mothers, young men and women, students, doctors, businessmen, etc.
Does this mean that tattoos are no longer something reprehensible (from a Christian point of view)?
No! Absolutely!
It just means that people in our society started to practice reprehensible things as if they were good things.
There was also a time when women got married as virgins.
There was a time when divorce was something unusual.
There was a time when people didn't go to the beach half-naked.
There was even a time when adultery was a crime.
All these things have changed because society has changed its values and concepts, however, Christian thinking regarding these things, as well as regarding tattoos, has no reason to have changed...
THE HEALTH ISSUE: "The needles and inks used in tattoos, if not kept in sterile packaging, can lead to the transmission of viruses such as HIV and hepatitis B and C, as well as fungal and bacterial infections. There is also a risk of allergic reactions to the products used", warns the doctor.
According to Stephanie Rizk, the toxicity of tattoos is constantly associated with skin allergies. The designs, however, can also lead to other inflammatory reactions and consequences such as infections, genetic mutations and even cancer.
