POST TEXT: HE FREED US FROM THE EMPIRE OF DARKNESS AND TRANSPORTED US TO THE KINGDOM OF THE SON OF HIS LOVE. COLOSSIANS 1:13
They were transferred from darkness to light, from slavery to freedom, from guilt to forgiveness, and from the power of Satan to the power of God.
Thank God, who gives us victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. - 1 Corinthians 15.57
HOW DID THE APOSTLES DIED?
1. MATTHEW
Suffered martyrdom in Ethiopia, killed by a sword wound.
2. MILESTONES
He died in Alexandria, Egypt, after being dragged by horses through the streets until he died.
3. LUKE
He was hanged in Greece as a result of his tremendous work of preaching to the lost.
4. JOHN
Facing martyrdom, when he was fried in a large basin of boiling oil during a wave of persecution in Rome. However, he was miraculously saved from death.
John was then sentenced to the mines on the island of Patmos. He wrote his prophetic book of Revelation on the island of Patmos. The apostle John was later released and returned to serve as bishop of Edessa in modern-day Türkiye. He died an old man, the only apostle to die in peace.
5. PEDRO
He was crucified upside down on a ❌-shaped cross.
According to church tradition it was because he told his tormentors that he felt unworthy of dying in the same way that Yahushuah Hamashiah had died.
6. TIAGO
The leader of the church in Jerusalem was thrown more than a hundred feet down from the southeast spire of the temple when he refused to deny his faith in the Messiah. When they discovered he survived the fall, his enemies beat him to death with a club.
* This was the same pinnacle where Satan took Yahushuah during the temptation.
7. JAMES, son of Zebedee,
he was a fisherman by trade when Yahushuah called him to a life of ministry. As a strong church leader, James was beheaded in Jerusalem. The Roman officer guarding James watched in amazement as James defended his faith at his trial. Later, the officer walked alongside Tiago to the execution site. Overcome with conviction, he declared his new faith to the judge and knelt beside James to accept beheading as a Son of the Most High.
8. BARTHOLOMEW
Also known as Nathaniel, he was a missionary to Asia. He testified to our Savior in present day Türkiye. Bartholomew was martyred for his preaching in Armenia, where he was flayed to death with a whip.
9. ANDRE
He was crucified on a ❌-shaped cross in Patras, Greece. After being severely whipped by seven soldiers, they tied his body to the cross with ropes to prolong his agony. His followers reported that, as he was led toward the cross, Andrew greeted it with these words: 'Much have I desired and hoped for this hour. The cross has been consecrated by the body of the Messiah hanging upon it'. He continued to preach to his torturers for two days until he expired.
10. TOMÉ
He was speared in India during one of his missionary journeys to establish the church in the Sub-continent.
11. JUDAS
He was speared to death when he refused to deny his faith in the Messiah.
12. MATTIAS
The apostle chosen to replace the traitor Judas Iscariot was stoned and then beheaded.
13. PAULO
He was tortured and then beheaded by the evil emperor Nero in Rome in AD 67. Paul endured a long imprisonment, which allowed him to write his many epistles to the churches he had formed throughout the Roman Empire. These letters, which taught many of the fundamental doctrines of Christianity, form a large part of the New Testament.
WHAT IS YOUR PROBLEM REALLY? 🙌🙏🔥🔥🔥📖👑
And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.
Acts 4:12
THE BIBLE'S ANSWERS
You may claim that your god is wealth and money, and that your goal is to make the most of it, because it is the only thing that matters in life. Have you ever considered that of all possessions the most valuable is your own soul? The Bible states: “What will it profit a man if he gains the whole world and loses his own soul? Or, what would a man give for the ransom of his soul?” (Mark 8:36-37).
You say that because you are young and because life is short you want to make the most of it and explore everything the world has to offer. You believe it will make you happy. However, true happiness can only be found in God. The Bible says: “Hold fast to him, and have peace, and good will come to you” (Job 22:21).
You claim that there is something good in all religions, so there is no reason to change yours. You think that, regardless of religion, everyone should do their best. Today's verse emphasizes that only the Lord Jesus can forgive your sins and give you eternal life. Where else can we find this truth?
You are horrified by all the illnesses and injustices in the world, perhaps you are affected by the loss of a loved one or tormented by some secret weakness. However, there is a remedy for all these things. The Lord Jesus tells him, “Come to me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest” (Matthew 11:28). Heed this call.
Many times, we worry so much about our physical body, while our spiritual body is rickety and lacking strength. But the fact is that it is necessary to take care of both.
“For physical exercise has some use, but spiritual exercise has value for everything because its result is life, both now and in the future.” 1ST TIMOTHY 4:8 🙌🙏🔥📖
Invest in your eternity, prioritize what will NEVER pass!
Time here on earth is running out, which investor would risk investing in something that will not give him a return!?
Unfortunately, many people are doing this right now.
The word of God teaches us: Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away. Matthew 24:35
