¹ Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering unto him,

² Do not be easily moved from your understanding, nor be troubled, whether by spirit, or by word, or by letter, as from us, as if the day of Christ were at hand.

👉👉👉👉³ Let no one deceive you in any way; for it will not be so unless apostasy comes, and the man of sin is revealed, the son of perdition,👈☝️☝️

⁴ Who opposes, and exalts himself against everything that is called God, or worshiped; so that he will sit, like God, in the temple of God, wanting to appear like God.

⁵ Don't you remember that he told you these things when he was still with you?

⁶ And now you know what holds him back, so that he may be revealed in his own time.

⁷ For the mystery of injustice is already at work; there is only one who now retains it until it is taken from the middle;

⁸ And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord will destroy by the breath of his mouth, and will destroy by the splendor of his coming;

⁹ To him whose coming is according to the working of Satan, with all power, and signs and lying wonders,

¹⁰ And with all the deceitfulness of unrighteousness to those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth to save themselves.

¹¹ And for this reason God will send them the operation of error, so that they will believe the lie;

¹² That they might be judged who did not believe the truth but took pleasure in iniquity.

¹³ But we must always give thanks to God for you, brothers beloved by the Lord, because God chose you from the beginning to salvation, in sanctification of the Spirit, and faith of the truth;

¹⁴ To which he called you by our gospel, to obtain the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.

¹⁵ So, brothers, stand firm and hold fast to the traditions that you were taught, whether by word or by our epistle.

¹⁶ And our Lord Jesus Christ himself and our God and Father, who loved us, and in grace gave us eternal consolation and good hope,

¹⁷ Comfort your hearts, and establish you in every good word and work.

2 Thessalonians 2:1-17

Difficulties will teach you that you have no one but God!

Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus. (1 Thessalonians 5:16-18)

Do not worry about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:6-7)

This is the confidence we have when approaching God: if we ask for anything according to his will, he hears us. (1 John 5:14)

Dedicate yourselves to prayer, be vigilant and grateful. (Colossians 4:2)

Therefore I say to you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours. (Mark 11:24)

Call me and I will answer and tell you great and inscrutable things that you do not know. (Jeremiah 33:3)

And when you pray, do not continue babbling like the pagans, for they think they will be heard because of their many words. (Matthew 6:7)

And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. (John 14:13)

They all gathered constantly in prayer, together with the women and Mary, the mother of Jesus, and with his brothers. (Acts 1:14)

But to you who are listening I say: love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you. (Luke 6:27-28)

For where two or three come together in my name, there I am with them. (Matthew 18:20)

Let us then approach God's throne of grace with confidence, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need. (Hebrews 4:16)

But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because whoever doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. (James 1:6)

You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you so that you might go and bear fruit – fruit that will last – and so that whatever you ask in my name the Father will give you. (John 15:16)

The end of all things is near. Therefore, be alert and sober-minded so that you can pray. (1 Peter 4:7)

Likewise, the Spirit helps us in our weaknesses. We do not know what we should pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans. (Romans 8:26)

In the morning, Lord, you hear my voice; In the morning, I present my requests and wait expectantly. (Psalm 5:3)

Dear friend, I pray that you have good health and that everything goes well with you, even if your soul is well. (3 John 1:2)

By day, the Lord directs his love, by night, his music is with me – a prayer to the God of my life. (Psalm 42:8)

When greatly pressed, I cried to the Lord; he took me to a spacious place. (Psalm 118:5)

When all the people were being baptized, Jesus was baptized too. And as he prayed, heaven was opened and the Holy Spirit descended upon him in bodily form like a dove. And a voice came from heaven: “You are my Son, whom I love; I am very pleased with you. ” (Luke 3:21-22)

I will strengthen Judah and save the tribes of Joseph. I will restore them because I have compassion on them. They will be as if I had not rejected them, for I am the Lord their God and will answer them. (Zechariah 10:6)

Husbands, in the same way, be considerate in how you live with your wives, and treat them with respect as the weaker partner and as heirs with you of the gracious gift of life, so that nothing hinders your prayers. (1 Peter 3:7)

Therefore, this is how you should pray: ‘Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.’ (Matthew 6:9-10)

Hear my prayer, Lord, hear my cry for help; Don't be deaf to my cry. I live with you as a foreigner, a stranger, as all my ancestors were. (Psalm 39:12)

Give us our daily bread today. (Matthew 6:11)

Father, I want those you have given me to be with me where I am and to see my glory, the glory you gave me because you loved me before the creation of the world. (John 17:24)

Peter was kept in prison, but the church prayed fervently to God for him. (Acts 12:5)

Go back and say to Hezekiah, the ruler of my people, ‘This is what the Lord, the God of your father David, says: I have heard your prayer and seen your tears; I will heal you. On the third day from now you will go to the temple of the Lord.’ (2 Kings 20:5)

Get up, Lord! Raise your hand, oh God. Don't forget the helpless. (Psalm 10:12)

Watch and pray so you don't fall into temptation. The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak. (Matthew 26:41)

You want it, but you don't have it, so you kill. You covet, but you don't get what you want, so you fight and fight. You don't have it because you don't ask God. (James 4:2)
