THE DEVIL ALSO PROCLAMS HIS MESSAGE!

Before beginning his earthly journey, Jesus was led by the Holy Spirit into the desert, where Satan tempted him. In the dialogue, the ancient serpent did not hesitate to use the Scriptures to challenge Jesus' mission.

"If you are the Son of God, throw yourself down, for it is written, 'He will command his angels concerning you; in their hands they will bear you up, lest you dash your foot against a stone'" (Matthew 4:6).

Unlike the cliché, Satan does not escape the Bible. He manipulates her because he knows her deeply. For him, quoting "it is written" is easy, but his true gift is to distort, twist and corrupt the sacred meaning, as he did with Jesus: "For it is written: [...]".

The Devil attacks the church in two ways. First, with external persecution through government decrees and religious intolerance. Second, he climbs into pulpits, spreading heresies that weaken the spirituality of the faithful. Against this, Paul called Timothy to fight as a soldier of Christ.

"Preach the word, urge, whether it is opportune or not, correct, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine. For there will be a time when they will not endure sound doctrine; on the contrary, they will surround themselves with teachers according to their own covetousness, as if they have itching ears; and they will refuse to listen to the truth, giving themselves over to fables" (2 Timothy 4:3).

Today, many see good preaching as one that moves people. This leads to following empty doctrines and listening to the Devil. It's no surprise that crowds follow the piper, drawn by a catchy "melody."

The Bereans tested Paul's teaching from the Scriptures (Acts 17:11), being considered "noble." Christ did the same with Satan.

Jesus replied, "It is also written, 'You shall not put the Lord your God to the test'" (Matthew 4:7).

Heresies are dangerous; without rejection, they hurt the church. Jesus teaches how to combat them with knowledge of the Scriptures. But, without study, one falls into lies, as the Devil proclaims!

GOD’S GRACE IS ENOUGH FOR SAD DAYS OF TRIAL…

Trial is the time when our faith is tested. In difficult times we can abandon Jesus or continue believing in him. The ordeal shows whether our love for Jesus is true or just a selfish and self-serving attitude.

No one likes to go through trials, but these moments help to mature and strengthen faith. Anyone who has overcome a trial finds more strength in Jesus. Suffering does not last forever and one day we will receive the reward for enduring the ordeal.

Happy is the man who perseveres under trial, because after being approved he will receive the crown of life, which God promised to those who love him.

James 1:12

My brothers, consider it a source of great joy when you face various trials, for you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. And perseverance must have complete action, so that you may be mature and complete, lacking nothing. James 1:2-4

The Lord tests the righteous,

but the wicked and the one who loves unrighteousness,

  his soul hates it. Psalms 11:5

The crucible is for silver

and the furnace is for gold,

but the Lord tests the heart.

Proverbs 17:3

For you, O God, have put us to the test

and you refined us like silver. You made us fall into a trap

and upon our backs you laid burdens. You let the enemies ride

over our heads;

We passed through fire and water,

but to a place of plenty you brought us.

Psalms 66:10-12

In this you rejoice, even though now, for a little while, you must be grieved by every kind of trial. This happens so that it is proven that the faith you have, much more valuable than gold that perishes, even if refined by fire, is genuine and will result in praise, glory and honor, when Jesus Christ is revealed. 1 Peter 1:6-7

"Remember how the Lord your God led you all the way in the desert during these forty years to humble you and put you to the test, to know their intentions, whether they would obey their commandments or not.

Deuteronomy 8:2

Beloved ones, do not be surprised at the fire that arises among you to test you, as if something strange is happening. But rejoice as you share in the sufferings of Christ, so that when his glory is revealed you may also rejoice with great joy. If you are insulted because of the name of Christ, happy are you, for the Spirit of glory, the Spirit of God, rests on you. 1 Peter 4:12-14

I served the Lord with all humility and with tears, being severely tried by the conspiracies of the Jews. Acts of the Apostles 20:19

Those who fell on the stones are those who receive the word with joy when they hear it, but they have no root. They believe for a while, but give up at the time of trial. Luke 8:13

So, as the Holy Spirit says:

"Today, if you listen

your voice, do not harden your heart,

as in rebellion,

during the time of trial in the desert, where their ancestors

tried me,

putting me to the test,

despite, for forty years,

have seen what I did. Hebrews 3:7-9

A wise woman is one who dedicates her life to the Lord and seeks the Kingdom of God first. This dedication to God brings wisdom and is reflected in all areas of your life: at work, in business, at home, at church, at leisure...

The wise woman is a blessing to everyone around her. She is an example in society and in the Church, being called by God to make a difference. We can learn a lot from wise women. Sensible people listen to the wise woman's advice.

A wise woman who is married is also a blessing to her husband. If she has children, she teaches them to have an intimate relationship with God. The wise woman is blessed by God.

The wise woman builds her house,

but with your own hands

the foolish one drops hers.

Abandon IDOLATRY!

 

Idolatry is a great danger. It leads us to worship things other than God. Only God deserves our worship. Nothing is more important than loving God above all things.

Idolatry is not just worshiping other gods or lifeless images. Idolatry is putting anything above God in our lives. We can idolize a person, a job, a political party, money... To avoid idolatry, we must always put God first in everything we do.

"You shall have no other gods besides me. "You shall not make for yourself any idol, any image of anything in heaven or on earth or in the waters under the earth.

Exodus 20:3-4

"I am the Lord; this is my name!

I will not give my glory to another

nor to images my praise.

Isaiah 42:8

"Do not turn to idols or make gods of metal for yourselves. I am the Lord your God.

Leviticus 19:4

Their idols of silver and gold,

are made by human hands. They have a mouth, but they cannot speak;

For the rebellion

it is like the sin of witchcraft;

arrogance, as the evil of idolatry.

Just like you rejected

the word of the Lord,

he rejected him as king".

So put to death everything that belongs to your earthly nature: sexual immorality, impurity, passion, evil desires and greed, which is idolatry.

Colossians 3:5
