JESUS SAID: REMAIN IN ME AND I WILL REMAIN IN YOU...
John 15:1-27
1 I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman.
2 Every branch in me that does not bear fruit he takes away; and every plant that bears fruit, that it may bear more fruit.
3 You are already clean because of the word that I have spoken to you.
4 Abide in me, and I in you; as the branch of itself cannot bear fruit unless it abides in the vine, so neither can you unless you abide in me.
5 I am the vine, you are the branches; who is in me, and I in him, he bears much fruit; because without me you can do nothing.
6 If anyone is not in me, he is thrown away like a branch and withers; and they gather them and throw them into the fire, and they are burned.
7 If you abide in me, and my words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you.
8 Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; and so shall ye be my disciples.
9 As the Father loved me, I also loved you; remain in my love.
10 If you keep my commandments, you will remain in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love.
11 I have told you this so that my joy may remain in you and your joy may be complete.
12 This is my commandment: That you love one another, just as I have loved you.
13 Greater love has no one than this, that one lay down his life for his friends.
14 You are my friends if you do what I command you.
15 I will no longer call you servants, for a servant does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, because everything I heard from my Father I have made known to you.
16 You did not choose me, but I chose you, and appointed you, that you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain; so that whatever you ask the Father in my name, he may give it to you.
17 This I command you: Love one another.
18 If the world hates you, know that it hated me before it hated you.
19 If you were of the world, the world would love its own, but because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you.
20 Remember the word that I said unto you, A servant is not greater than his lord. If they persecuted me, they will also persecute you; if they kept my word, they will keep yours also.
21 But all these things they will do to you for my name's sake, because they do not know him who sent me.
22 If I had not come or spoken to them, they would not have sin, but now they have no excuse for their sin.
23 He who hates me hates my Father also.
24 If I had not done among them the works which no one else has done, they would have no sin; but now they saw them and hated me and my Father.
25 But it is to fulfill the word that is written in their law: They hated me without a cause.
26 But when the Comforter comes, whom I will send to you from the Father, the Spirit of truth, who proceeds from the Father, he will testify of me.
27 And you also will testify, for you have been with me from the beginning.
Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, and whose trust is the Lord.
For he will be like a tree planted by the waters, which puts out its roots by the stream, and does not fear when the heat comes, but its leaf remains green; and in the year of drought it does not become weary, nor fails to bear fruit.
Jeremiah 17:7,8
Blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked, nor stand in the way of sinners, nor sit in the seat of scoffers.
Before he takes his delight in the law of the Lord, and in his law he meditates day and night.
For he shall be like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in its season; his leaves will not wither, and whatever he does will prosper.
Not so the wicked; but they are like chaff that the wind drives away.
Therefore the wicked shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the assembly of the righteous.
For the Lord knows the way of the righteous; but the way of the wicked shall perish.
