THE TRUE MEANING OF THE EASTER ...
BLOOD OF LAMB HAS ALREADY APPOINTED FOR THE SACRIFICE OF THE CROSS ...
EXODUS 11
God announces to Moses the death of all the firstborn
4 And Moses said, Thus saith the LORD, At midnight I will go out into the midst of Egypt;
5 And every firstborn in the land of Egypt shall die from the firstborn of Pharaoh, which shall sit upon his throne, unto the firstborn of the handmaid behind the mill, and all the firstborn of beasts.
6 And there shall be a great cry in all the land of Egypt, as there was none like it, and there shall never be;
7 But among all the children of Israel shall not a dog move his tongue from man to beast, that you may know that the LORD made a difference between the Egyptians and the children of Israel.
EXODUS 12-3-9
The institution of the first Easter
3 Speak to all the congregation of Israel, saying, On the tenth of this month let every man take a lamb for himself, according to the house of his fathers, a lamb for every family.
4 But if the family is small for a lamb, then take one with his neighbor near his house, according to the number of souls; every one according to his eating, ye shall do according to the lamb.
5 The lamb, or young goat, shall be without blemish, a male of the first year, which ye shall take of the sheep, or of the goats.
6 And ye shall keep it until the fourteenth day of the month, and all the congregation of the congregation of Israel shall sacrifice it in the evening.
7 And they shall take of the blood, and put it on the two posts, and the lintel of the gate, in the houses where they eat it.
8 And they shall eat the meat roasted in the fire with unleavened bread that night; they shall eat it with bitter herbs.
9 You shall not eat of it raw, nor boiled in water, but roast in the fire, its head with its feet, and its inwards.
EXODUS 12
12 And I will pass through the land of Egypt this night, and will smite all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, from man to beast; and in all the gods of Egypt I will make judgments. I am the Lord.
I PETER 1: 1-12
Preface and greeting
1 PETER, an apostle of Jesus Christ, to the strangers scattered at Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia, and Bithynia;
2 Elect according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, in the sanctification of the Spirit, to the obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ: Grace to you and peace be multiplied.
Thanksgiving for the Hope of Salvation
3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to his great mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,
4 To an inheritance incorruptible, undefiled, and that can not wither, kept in heaven for you,
5 That by faith ye are kept in the power of God unto salvation, ready to be revealed in the last time,
6 Wherein ye greatly rejoice, though it matter now, being necessary, that ye be somewhat grieved with various temptations,
7 That the test of your faith, much more precious than the gold that perisheth and is tried by fire, may be found in praise and honor and glory at the revelation of Jesus Christ;
8 Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, seeing not now, but believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and glorious;
9 Reaching the end of your faith, the salvation of your souls.
10 Of which salvation have they inquired and diligently dealt with the prophets who prophesied of the grace that was given you,
11 Seeing what time or what occasion of time the Spirit of Christ which was in them signified, testifying beforehand the sufferings which should come unto Christ, and the glory which should follow them.
12 To whom it was revealed that not for themselves, but for us, they ministered these things, which have now been preached unto you by them which through the Holy Ghost sent from heaven preached the gospel to you; for which things the angels wish well.
The next day, John saw Jesus coming and said, "Behold, he is the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world!" John 1:29
When he saw Jesus passing by, he said: "Behold, he is the Lamb of God!"
John 1:36
In the same way, since a man is destined to die once and afterwards to face judgment, so Christ was once offered a sacrifice to take away the sins of many; and will appear a second time, not to take away sin, but to bring salvation to those who are waiting. Hebrews 9: 27-28
In fact, according to the Law, almost all things are purified with blood, and without shedding of blood there is no forgiveness. Hebrews 9:22
For the life of the flesh is in the blood, and I have given it to you to make atonement for yourselves on the altar; it is the blood that makes propitiation for life. Leviticus 17:11
All of us, like sheep,
we deviate,
each of us turned around
to his own way;
and the Lord made him fall upon it.
the iniquity of us all. He was oppressed and afflicted;
and he opened not his mouth;
like a lamb,
was taken to the slaughterhouse;
and, like a sheep before their
shearers remain silent,
he did not open his mouth. With oppressive judgment he was taken.
And who can speak of his descendants?
Because it was deleted
of the land of the living;
because of the transgression
of my people he was beaten. Isaiah 53: 6-8
Tell the whole community of Israel that on the tenth day of this month every man should separate a lamb or a kid for his family, one for each house. If a family is too small for an entire animal, it must divide it with its nearest neighbor, according to the number of people and according to what each one can eat. The chosen animal will be male of one year, without defect, and can be lamb or kid. Keep it until the fourteenth day of the month, when the whole community of Israel will sacrifice it at sunset. Then pass some of the blood on the sides and upper beams of the doors of the houses in which you will eat the animal. Exodus 12: 3-7
"I will pass through Egypt that same night, and I will kill all the firstborn, both of man and of beast, and will execute judgment upon all the gods of Egypt: I am Yahweh, blood shall be a sign to indicate the houses wherein you are; I will pass through the plague of destruction, and I will not destroy them when I strike Egypt. "This day will be a memorial that you and all your descendants will celebrate as a feast to the Lord. Celebrate it as a perpetual decree. Exodus 12: 12-14
Get rid of the old leaven, that they may be new and unleavened dough, as they really are. For Christ, our Passover Lamb, was sacrificed.
1 Corinthians 5: 7
For you know that it was not by perishable things like silver or gold that you were redeemed from your empty way of living, conveyed by your ancestors, but by the precious blood of Christ, as of a spotless and unblemished lamb known before of the creation of the world, revealed in these latter times in your behalf. 1 Peter 1: 18-20
Then I saw a Lamb, who seemed to have been dead standing in the center of the throne, surrounded by the four living creatures and the elders. He had seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven spirits of God sent into all the earth. Revelation 5: 6
They will war against the Lamb, but the Lamb will overcome them, for he is Lord of lords and King of kings; and his calling, chosen and faithful shall overcome with him. "Revelation 17:14
There will be no curse any more. The throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in the city, and his servants shall serve him. Revelation 22: 3
You will never be hungry again,
they will never thirst.
The sun will not afflict them
nor any scorching heat, for the Lamb that is
in the center of the throne
will be your Shepherd;
he will guide you to the sources
of living water.
And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes. "Revelation 7: 16-17
I have seen no temple in the city, for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are its temple. The city does not need sun or moon to shine on it, for the glory of God enlightens it, and the Lamb is its lamp. The nations shall walk in his light, and the kings of the earth shall bring him his glory. Their gates shall not be shut by day, for there shall be no night. The glory and honor of the nations will be brought to you. Nothing unclean will come into it, nor anyone who practices shameful or deceptive, but only those whose names are written in the Lamb's book of life. Revelation 21: 22-27
Then the angel showed me the river of the water of life that, like crystal, flowed from the throne of God and the Lamb, in the middle of the main street of the city. On either side of the river was the tree of life, which bears twelve times a year, one a month. The leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations. There will be no curse any more. The throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in the city, and his servants shall serve him. Revelation 22: 1-3
After this I looked, and before me was a great multitude that no one could count, from all nations, tribes, peoples and tongues, standing before the throne and the Lamb, in white robes and clapping. And they cried with a loud voice,
"Salvation belongs to
to our God,
who sits on the throne,
and to the Lamb. "Revelation 7: 9-10
