JUDGMENT

CONSEQUENCES OF SIN
 &
LACK OF REPENTANCE ...

In the past God did not take this ignorance into account, but now he commands everyone everywhere to repent. For he has established a day when he will judge the world with righteousness through the man whom he has appointed. And he gave evidence to all of them, and raised him from the dead. "Acts 17: 30-31

Luke 21: 25-31
The prophetic sermon continues: the return of the Son of Man
(Mt 24: 29-31 Mark 13: 24-27)
25 And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and in the earth anguish of the nations, in perplexity by the roaring of the sea and the waves.
26 Men fainting from terror, in expectation of things to come to the world; for the virtues of heaven shall be shaken.
27 And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory.
28 Now when these things begin to happen, look up and lift up your heads, for your redemption is at hand.
(Mt 24: 32-44 Mark 13: 28-37)
29 And he spake unto them a parable, Behold the fig tree, and all the trees;
30 When they have already burst, you know for yourselves, seeing them, that summer is near.
31 So you also, when you see these things happen, know that the kingdom of God is at hand.

I say that, likewise, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God for a sinner who repents. "Luke 15:10

1 John 1: 9

Have mercy on me, O God,
for your love;
for your great compassion
blot out my transgressions. Wash me of all my guilt
and cleanse me from my sin. Because myself
I acknowledge my transgressions,
and my sin always pursues me. Against you, only against you, I have sinned
and I have done what you disapprove of,
so that's just your sentence
and you are right to condemn me. Psalms 51: 1-4

I preached first to those at Damascus, then to those who were in Jerusalem and in all Judea, and to the nations, saying that they should repent and turn to God, doing works that showed his repentance. Acts of the Apostles 26:20

Bear fruit that shows repentance!
Matthew 3: 8

But now I rejoice, not because you were grieved, but because your sorrow led you to repentance. For you were grieved as God willed and were in no way harmed by our cause. God's sorrow produces no remorse, but a repentance that leads to salvation, and sorrow according to the world produces death.
2 Corinthians 7: 9-10

If my people, who are called by my name, humble themselves and pray, seek my face and turn away from their wicked ways, I will hear from heaven, I will forgive their sin and heal their land.

The Lord is not slow to keep his promise, as some men think. On the contrary, he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but that all come to repentance.

Peter replied, "Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost." Acts 2:38

Then I recognized before you my sin
and I have not covered my faults.
I said, "I will confess my transgressions,"
to the Lord,
and you have forgiven the guilt of my sin. Psalms 32: 5

Says the Sovereign LORD, the Holy One of Israel:
"In repentance and at rest
is your salvation,
in quietness and trust
is its vigor,
but you did not want to. Isaiah 30:15

Then Jesus began to denounce the cities in which most of his miracles had been performed, because they did not repent.
Matthew 11:20

Be careful.
"If your brother sins, rebuke him, and if he repents, forgive him. If he sins against you seven times a day, and seven times return to you and say, 'I am sorry', forgive him." Luke 17: 3-4
